Heard ‘round the world.
Apparently the town of Port Allen is shut down today for a parade in Tracy Porter’s honor. Not sure when the team will be back in Louisiana, but kudos to them for being the first ones out of the gate with a parade.
(The New Orleans parade will be tomorrow evening)
It means more that he’s from Port Allen right? I mean, it does to me anyway.
This photo is the moment I started crying last night. I was trying to be sort of cool (because I was at a party where most people didn’t know me crying-well), but I shed a few tears for sure. This kid deserves ten parades daily for the rest of his Port Allen-born life.
Also, one of the few Indiana Hoosiers in the NFL. Didn’t quite make me cry, but still proud to see a fellow alum take center stage.
